  •  Bird Dog Community Ambassador Program: Official Bylaws

  •  Program Purpose

      1. The Bird Dog Program is designed to reward the loyal neighbors and customers of Collins Roofing who act as brand advocates within Central Illinois. Rather than traditional corporate advertising, we choose to invest our marketing budget directly back into the community by paying flat-rate marketing fees to those who facilitate new business through personal recommendations.

  •  Qualified Projects & Exclusions

      1. To protect the sustainability of the program, referral rewards are reserved for substantial home improvement projects. A “Qualified Project” includes:
      2. Roofing: Full roof replacements including Asphalt Shingle, Metal, or Flat/Rubber EPDM.
      3. Siding: Full house siding installation or major elevation replacements.
      4. Windows: Full-home or multi-window replacement projects with a minimum of three (3) windows.
      5. Gutters: Full-perimeter seamless gutter and downspout installations.
      6. Exclusions: This program does not apply to minor repairs (e.g., single shingle replacement, leak patches), seasonal maintenance, or gutter cleanings.

  • Reward Structure & Annual Limits

      1. The Reward: A flat-rate marketing fee of $100.00 is awarded per Qualified Project.
      2. The Cap: Individual referrers are limited to six (6) rewards ($600.00 total) per calendar year.
      3. Eligibility Reset: Once the annual limit is reached, participants become eligible for further rewards on January 1st of the following calendar year.

  • Mandatory “Voucher-First” Submission Process

      1. To ensure transparency and prevent “after-the-fact” claims, Collins Roofing enforces a strict timeline for referral submissions:
      2. Initial Contact Rule: A physical Bird Dog Card (referral voucher) must be presented to the estimator or office staff at the very first point of contact.
      3. Digital Submissions: Digital vouchers must be submitted via Bird Dog Digital Submission | Collins Roofing  prior to the new client’s first interaction with a Collins Roofing representative.
      4. Strict Deadline: Vouchers presented after an estimate has been drafted, or after a contract has been signed, will be considered void.

  • Integrity & Legal Safeguards

      1. To comply with Illinois business regulations and maintain program integrity, the following rules apply:
      2. Anti-Rebating Compliance: Per Illinois state law, referral awards cannot be used to pay, credit, or offset a client’s insurance deductible.
      3. Self-Referral & Household Prohibitions: Participants cannot refer their own primary residence, spouse’s property, or managed properties. Referrals are not valid if the Referrer and Client reside in the same household or are immediate family members.
      4. Professional Status: Referral fees are classified as flat-rate marketing fees, not sales commissions.

  •  Disbursement of Funds

      1. Rewards are processed once the referred project is completed and the final invoice is paid in full by the client. The $100.00 check will be issued and mailed via USPS to the Referrer’s provided address within thirty (30) days of final payment
